My artwork stems from a place of observation and rediscovery. I try to tap into both my own visual memories as well as more mysterious resonances that I recognize during the process of making. Although all my paintings begin as random, abstract marks or gestures, they often reference and suggest real world forms and spaces. 

I follow these suggestions with much curiosity trying to unearth treasures and coax images into being. It is a process of requires me to constantly fluctuate between careful reflection and brave spontaneity.
